After a recent decent run of form Bluecoats 3rd Team hosted the encounter with East Grinstead with cautious optimism. This was heightened by the relative positions in the league with the CH men at second in the Division while the East Grinstead team were at the other end of the table. However as became apparent during the evening league positions can sometimes be deceptive... The evening kicked off with BC 3 veteran Mike Tydd playing Keith. The early exchanges were quite close but Mike

With the away team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, Home advantage looked to be needed to take the win. The stats turned out to be correct, with a fine Away win.

On paper, the number 2 string should have been the closest, with only 60 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, , did well therefore to secure the win.
